English 101

u·biq·ui·tous [yoo-bik-wi-tuhs]
adjective
existing or being everywhere, esp. at the same time; omnipresent: ubiquitous fog; ubiquitous little ants.

I have never, ever, used the word "ubiquitous" because I have never been sure what it means exactly. Seriously! Yeah, I probably shouldn't have admitted that, much like Bob said I shouldn't have posted a certain unflattering picture of myself on Facebook. It's the one where I am three and he says my hair is ginormous. Yeah, well. I had ubiquitous hair growing up.

Speaking of hair issues, guess who's running for governor of Texas. Farouk Shami, inventor of the CHI flat iron. A Palestinian, he moved to Houston and became a very successful businessman. I wondered why the new CHI commercials had him talking about the Texas jobs he's created. Ha!

  1. I had the same issues with the word poignant. It was one of those words I would hearand tell myself...look up that definition...but would always forget the word when I had a dictionary available. Once I found out that it meant heartfelt...I was kind of disappointed. I did have a friend who used that word...and now I know he has NO clue on what poignant means!!!!

  2. Poignant! Same sort of word. Too funny.

You didn't tell me you had a nipple ring. I can't even picture that! Did it hurt like a mofo?
