Sucker Punch

We saw Sucker Punch this weekend. Overall, it was good, although we (and everyone I've talked to) hated the ending. It's really like an amazing two-hour music video. Just appreciate it as that, and you'll enjoy it. Very cool cinematography. Brilliant colors and creative effects nothing short of hypnotic. Awesome music.
The story is very thin, and if you didn't see the trailer or know the plot already, you might watch and just think "wow, this is a really trippy, artistic movie." It is definitely trippy and artistic, but there is a shallow plot there, with the fantasy life being a coping strategy for the girls. Dr. Gorski never clearly explains this in the movie, like she does in the trailer. The only clue to what you're watching is towards the end of the film, when Blue asks Dr. Gorski what her job is, and she replies that it's to help the girls cope with him.
The ending- blah. Should have ended right after Sweet Pea walked through the gate.
