Candidate Match Game

Take the Match Game Quiz at USA Today.

My results:
1. Sam Brownback (Rep) (who? lol)
2. John McCain (Rep) (yay- I didn't even cheat!)
3. John Edwards (Dem) (I would have voted for him last time if he had gotten the nomination)

It's a Beautiful Day

The weather is quite springy right now. Gotta LOVE IT!

I've managed to do two important things lately... floss every day and start walking. Laura and I have talked about walking after school a million times, and finally we did it. We're set to walk three days a week. Rah rah! Flossing- I hate it. CJ told me about the Reach flosser, which has disposable floss doodads and a handle. No icky fingers all up in your mouth! No cutting off the circulation in your fingertips with floss wrapping! So I tried it and I'm hooked. I even got DD one, which she actually uses.

Hudson's on the Bend

When did Hudson's start serving "interior Mexican fare"? Last time we went, it was upscale exotic foods (wild game)- bison, deer, rabbit, etc. Strange.

Dr. Phil & Britney

Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Britney's family was so concerned with her state of mind that they summoned, of all the psychiatrists and psychologists in America, Dr. Phil? By all means, bring in a TV guy. It's always about the publicity with these people. Britney seeks out attention every day, all day long, while whining about it at the same time, but let's give her a break, since she's lost her mind at his point. The family should have better judgment than that.

Dr. Phil went straight to Entertainment Tonight to give them the story afterwards, and actually planned to tape an episode of the Dr. Phil Show about her. Thank goodness the taping is no longer happening. I like the way he said he's been helping her family deal with this all along, but he's such a great guy that he didn't say anything. Oops. Now he said something. I don't criticize him at all for helping, since the family (foolishly) requested his help. I think it's reprehensible that he went directly to the media to discuss it, even if it was with the Spears' blessing.

Designers' Challenge

Monday, January 7, 2008

I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who wonders where people get their money on this HGTV show. Kathy L does, too.

"Meet the Kriegers. They live in a five-bedroom four-bath home in La Jolla with sweeping views of the beach from their master bedroom. They have given our designers a $25,000 budget to redecorate the entry hall."

Got an image of these people in your head? Nope. They aren't like "that" at all! They're usually like 25 years old and/or a single mom. And you think... what do these people do for a living?! And how can I learn to do it, too?!

Great show.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.
You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.
You are a good communicator. You work hard to get your ideas across effectively.
