Dr. Phil & Britney

Britney's family was so concerned with her state of mind that they summoned, of all the psychiatrists and psychologists in America, Dr. Phil? By all means, bring in a TV guy. It's always about the publicity with these people. Britney seeks out attention every day, all day long, while whining about it at the same time, but let's give her a break, since she's lost her mind at his point. The family should have better judgment than that.

Dr. Phil went straight to Entertainment Tonight to give them the story afterwards, and actually planned to tape an episode of the Dr. Phil Show about her. Thank goodness the taping is no longer happening. I like the way he said he's been helping her family deal with this all along, but he's such a great guy that he didn't say anything. Oops. Now he said something. I don't criticize him at all for helping, since the family (foolishly) requested his help. I think it's reprehensible that he went directly to the media to discuss it, even if it was with the Spears' blessing.
