Cabinet Nominees' Tax Problems

Good grief. Can't Obama find a group of qualified people who have, at the very least, followed the law and paid their taxes? It's a minimal requirement. These folks have stepped aside, for the most part, as they should. The senators and others who are saying the nominees are "great Americans" and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise and should be allowed to serve... are crazy. There are plenty of qualified folks out there. Heck, I'll even take crazy Dean over Daschle, if Daschle can't manage to pay taxes like the rest of us.

And if they get caught not paying, they need to pay interest and penalties, like the rest of us would.

At least Obama took responsibility for it. It's refreshing to see a President admit he screwed up. Gotta respect him for that.
