1. When you travel, what kinds of souvenirs do you like to bring home for yourself?
I always like to get one thing that is as unique as possible to that location. Nothing cheesy. Usually a decor item. I almost always get a relevant Christmas ornament as well.
2. Is there a certain kind of souvenir you always bring back for a particular someone?
Nope.
3. Of the souvenirs you’ve collected from your travels, what are some that have special meaning for you?
Two German Christmas ornaments- one for L and one for us from our trip in '97. A Yellowstone coffee table book. A glass cactus sculpture from Phoenix.
4. What’s the silliest souvenir you’ve brought back for yourself, or what’s the silliest souvenir someone has brought back for you?
We put a coin into a machine in the little German town we stayed in near Berchtesgaden. The machine sawed off a slice of wood from a log, and then burned a touristy message into it with the town name. Cheesy as heck. I think Lauren finally tossed it last year.
5. If you were going to send someone a souvenir from places you visited today, what might it be?
A Foundation tshirt, a library bookmark and a high school logo pencil.
