VMAs (Super)Brief Roundup

VMAs were interesting. I'm no prude, but Miley's over-the-top display was straight-up gross. We muted Kanye's performance, so I'm not sure what he did. Overall though, it was a great night of music.

Things I learned watching the #VMAs2013: There's nothing you can do with a foam finger that you can't air on MTV.

Justin F'in Timberlake. Holy wow. He did a mini-concert, eh? SO fantastic. Bravo to him for giving NSYNC fans the closure they always wanted and never got. If only someone could have turned up Chasez's mic before the last ten seconds of the performance... Just sayin'.

Bruno rocked "Gorilla," although not as hard as he did in concert! Interesting to see the parts they bleeped and didn't!

Lady Gaga has such an amazing voice and absolutely boundless energy. It was ironic that she started "Applause" with recorded booing as part of her performance, and then ended up giving One Direction a pep talk when they were actually booed when they won an award. Good for her!
