Boyle's Law revisited

Thursday, April 5, 2007

Thank you, Laura, for enlisting my help with your son's high school science homework. Now I have refreshed my knowledge of Boyle's Law- Pressure times volume equals a constant.

One never knows when one might need that. Looks like... every twenty-five years or so.

I can tell you how often a person would need this.....once every ...NEVER. But, since you enjoyed it so much I will let you try the combined pressure laws. Boy, I miss the good old days of the basic quadratic equation.
I think I may have gone a little overboard when I called the chem. teacher and may have mentioned that I felt that the lesson was irrelevant in life. Yikes, how do I take that back?

At least you remember quadratic equations!

Teachers are very sensitive people. Be careful with their feelings.
