This week on Real Housewives New Jersey, Kathy's mom told the story of how, when she was five years old, her parents gave her to her aunt to raise, because her aunt couldn't have children. They dressed her up and brought her over to the aunt's house, sat her in a chair, gave her a doll... and left her there. She grew up thinking of her aunt as her mother. Her siblings were all raised by the parents. She met up with her mother and siblings later and didn't feel any sort of bond, because she didn't even remember them. How awful! Just... nightmarish.

In the interest of truth in blogging- The other day I said something about rock climbing at camp many years ago. As it turns out, we were rappelling, not climbing. Completely different direction. Incidentally, that doesn't mean I will consent to rappel down a skyscraper. Even for charity.
