An Open Letter to the Local QB

Dear Colt McCoy,

If you think people actually believe that you intentionally lollygagged around in the backfield and then hoisted a long, airy pass perfectly timed to go out-of-bounds with one second remaining in your biggest game of the season... you must have been sacked one too many times last night.

Nebraska vs. t.u. was the worst game ending ever! Boring, low scoring game, then finally a little excitement and the Cornhuskers even get ahead with little time left. Cue a couple of lucky Texas breaks with an out-of-bounds Husker kick-off and subsequent horse collar penalty. The announcers go on and on about McCoy's awesome clock management skills, followed by a clock management screw-up that should have been the biggest error he's made in his college career (he said he meant to do it, but whatever), but then there is one second remaining (lucky break #3 on this drive) and the kicker saves the day. Yeesh.

I think 'Bama is going to run them over in the championship game. Texas has not played well the last few weeks against much weaker teams.

In other news, I am pleased with the Amanda Knox conviction. I'm surprised her family has gotten such positive American media coverage after the way that whole thing went down. You know what convinced me she and her boyfriend were in on it? The two of them happily making out in front of news cameras while police were investigating the bloody crime scene in their apartment. Creepy. That just isn't a natural reaction to such a disturbing thing going on around you, even if you didn't know the victim at all, and especially if you and the victim were such wonderful friends.

After a marathon camp day, the winterguard show is completely choreographed, and the girls seem to love it. I can't wait to see! Two more days of camp for them.

Jeff and I hung out at the Hill Country Galleria yesterday. It's really beautiful this time of year. Hoping to get some actual shopping done today. Merry merry!!
