WHOOP!

Watched the press conference live from College Station yesterday evening. Very exciting stuff! I'm just so glad we got football season tickets this year. Current ticket holders get to keep their seats as long as they pay for them each season. Since the university sold out this year, people who want season tix next year will have to cross their fingers that others will give theirs up. I'm guessing not many will, considering the money people can make on StubHub, even if they didn't want to attend any games. With SEC teams playing, the value increases even more.

We could make almost all our annual ticket cost back by selling just our t.u. tickets this year. We aren't doing it, not that Jeff wouldn't love to, but I'm just saying. Of course, he's free to sell his ticket to Clooney, as Kimberly pointed out the other day.

Speaking of Texas... A&M officials made it clear it's up to them to decide whether or not they want to continue to play our traditional football matchup. A&M wants to play that game, and has said so on several occasions. So all the Texas fans who have been complaining to me that if we leave the conference, there would be no A&M/Texas game, that ball is in your team's court. As was pointed out in the press conference, several SEC teams maintain old rivalries between conferences- including Florida/Florida St., Clemson/South Carolina, Georgia/Georgia Tech. So... fabulous! Let's do it!
