Angel shared with me a beautiful dance from "So You Think You Can Dance" that told choreographer Mia's story of dancing with her dad, who has passed away. Here it is:



...which reminded me of the scene from Contact, where Jodie Foster meets her long-deceased father. I was sobbing in the theater during this one, back in the day. See, Dr. Arroway was orphaned very young and had this amazing, exceptionally encouraging dad and her entire career in radio astronomy is dedicated to him. Rent it if you've never seen it. (Matthew McConaughey is in it.) She meets Dad about halfway through this clip, but the mystical voyage is way cool, too.
