Murder and Landscaping

It's not that often I find myself in the extreme minority opinion, but am I the only person who isn't a fan of Amanda Knox? She may or may not have had anything to do with her roommate's death, but while police were investigating the bloody murder scene inside her apartment, that girl was just outside the place, kissing her boyfriend and smiling and giggling. Creepy. At the very least.

Maybe I'm being too harsh... perhaps she was wrongly convicted because she's "too pretty." Too bad she wasn't tried in Florida, where Casey Anthony was also acting very inappropriately after the murder of which she was accused. There, being pretty gets you off the hook!

Major landscaping tomorrow! They're ripping out all our front yard, ill-designed, builder-installed landscaping and replacing it with new, gorgeous stuff. Also redesigning the beds to take some space where our live oak trees are dense and grass won't grow underneath them. We've had the trees thinned over and over again. It just seems silly to do it every year. Let the trees live a natural, full-leaved life. Screw the grass.

So excited! Although I'm not so excited about having to hand-water everything every day for the next 2 weeks, because water restrictions don't allow sprinklers on new landscaping. If you can't reach me, you can find me out front, with a hose.
