3. Where did your parents meet?
It was 1962. My Dad was in the German Air Force and was receiving specialized training at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. My mom, age 18 at the time, was a hostess at the Service Club, where the international servicemen hung out in the evenings. (My mom was totally into foreign guys. Her three big-time life loves were from Turkey, Italy and Germany.)

My Dad asked her to dance there one night. They're both great dancers and they hit it off immediately. They dated for a short time before he returned home.

In '65, they met again by chance in Germany, where she was working as a civilian for the US Military Intelligence Corps. They were engaged and married in 1966.
