Holiday Monday

Ever had one of those early mornings where you're just dropping off your daughter for a week away at camp (yes, mere hours from when we arrived home from a two-week vacay), and you toss on your yoga pants and a university tee, throw your hair into a messy pony tail and skip the makeup, because you are certain you'll be kissing her goodbye in the car and she'll hop on her merry way? The sequined flip flops are cute, but they don't quite match the... hmmm... "workout" ensemble?

Yeah, you know what happens. The quick drop off becomes an event, where you get out of the car, and lots of people are there. There's chatting and such. I'd have given my left arm for a little lip gloss.

After the child transfer is complete, your husband wants to go out for breakfast. He thinks you're beautiful without makeup or fashion sense (and/or he's really hungry). He's also sorta proud of the fact that he's wearing his clothes over his pajamas, so there's really no reasoning with him about going home to change first.

I did manage to complete the outing without seeing anyone else I knew. :)
