We're Not Gonna Pay Reeeeeeeeent

Ohhhhhhh, Rockets. Nothing was going into the hoop yesterday. Nothing. 'Twas a sorry sight. But they still did well this past week.

RENT was wonderful!! We played a lot of musical chairs. Jeff was sick this weekend, and couldn't go, so Lauren invited Jaxon. Then right before the show, Tracy's daughter decided not to go (prom hangover, not the alcohol kind, but the soooooo tired kind) and she gave me her ticket in the 4th row. (We are second mezz.) So about 15 minutes before we left the house, Jaxon's mom ended up taking my ticket.

Then... through the first act, there were 3 open seats next to us in 4th row. So at intermission, I got the three of them to come down from the rafters and take those seats for the second act. Woohoo! So yeah, Tracy rocks.

The show is flippin' amazing. There were Rentheads galore! Lots of cheering for as certain songs approached, etc. Crazy energy from the audience. The only complaint I had was MiMi, whose voice is great but didn't quite have the excitement of the original character. Angel was good, but not quiiiiite as good as the Angels I've seen. No one can top Jai Rodriguez, I think. The one in the movie was awesome, too.

Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal are perfect in their roles. Can't get better than the original, although Joey Fatone was an excellent Mark.
