Beautiful Weekend

Busy and fun weekend, too! One of the best parts- pinot wine flight and chocolate cake at Truluck's. omg.
Saturday was our big event day. I met quite a few wonderful people. It was a lot of work. We laughed, we cried... ahaha. Actually... we did.
I also learned some floral skills, as I was assigned for most of the set-up time to a group helping the florist create some centerpieces on site. A secret I can share- the simple way to take roses and make rose petals out of them. It's much easier than just pulling the petals off, and especially handy when you're doing 16 dozen. You squeeze the base of the flower very hard in one direction, and then move 90 degrees and squeeze again, and the whole rose comes off, with the petals already separated. Sprinkle wherever you want them. You know you want to do it! The petals are soft and cool in your fingers, so it's a very pleasant, relaxing task.
Sunday Seven
They precede some of the most famous motion pictures ever made, and though they rarely last more than 20 seconds, they bring back plenty of memories every time they play. I’m talking about the studio logos we’ve grown up with, from MGM’s Leo the Lion to 20th Century Fox’s famous spotlights. Name your seven favorite movie studio logos.
Pixar Studios
Twisted Pictures
Lionsgate
Jerry Bruckheimer Films
Dreamworks
New Line Cinema
And of course... 20th Century Fox
